Whoosh! A tiny boy scooted coolly past my three year old daughter, showing off his gleaming wheels and colourful handle bar on his micro scooter. My daughter eyed up the scooter wishfully. Coincidentally, not long after, my daughter was gifted several second hand scooters from some very kind older cousins and friends. They consisted of a variety of brands which she used and played with for months and years. However, her most loved scooter was a royal blue micro scooter.
Since she has had the micro scooter, our lives have been easier. Not only does she love using it but it cuts our journey time in half (especially useful when you are rushing to go to school in the mornings)! Learning to ride the scooter was quick and painless, she fell over just once. The scooter also helped her develop balance, coordination and direction.
The micro scooter comes in a variety of styles and colours available from the age of 12 months with scooters to suit all the way up to adulthood.
Our honest review of the micro scooter mini deluxe tilt:
Ease of use = 10
With two wheels on the back and one on the front, the scooter is extremely easy to use. My daughter jumped on it and started pushing off gleefully immediately. It took a few days to master steering. Overall, full marks is given for ease of use.
reliability = 10
I was very impressed with the sturdiness of the micro scooter. My daughter’s scooter took quite a battering and still managed to retain its structure and shape. After five years the handle bar began to lose its grip, but after five years a little wear and tear is expected. Overall, full marks is given for reliability.
Design = 10
These microscooters comes in a variety of colours designed to capture children’s attention. There are also some very cute accessories you can buy for the micro scooters including bells, lights, baskets, bottles and much more. Overall 10 again!
Fun = 10
Top marks for fun! I haven’t met a child who doesn’t love to play on a scooter. Once again 10 for fun!
Cost = 8
This is the only one where the micro scooter does not get rewarded a 10. Micro scooters average around £100, and if you consider you have to buy a bigger scooter every few years as your child grows it can add up to be quite pricey. There are some cheaper alternative scooters, but if you like quality – you have to pay the price. The micro scooter is certainly worth the price.
